Professional boat captain service serving the private and commercial sectors, yacht manufacturers, yacht brokerages, insurance companies, and/or government agencies.

With close to five decades of power and sailing vessel experience, we bring a lot of knowledge and seamanship and are committed to getting to the next port safely and reasonably.  Willing to travel with or without a crew for:

  • Commercial & Recreation Vessel Deliveries
  • Charter Captain (commercial or private)
  • One-On-One Instruction tailored to your needs in Equipment, Charting, Plotting, Anchoring, Boat Handling and General Seamanship “Rules of the Road

Being available for Power/Sail Boat Deliveries, Temporary Captain, Owners Representative – during sea trials, yard work, equipment installation and repairs, Boat Consultant in purchase assistance as in locating, previewing boats, advice on equipment and classroom or on-the-water instruction.

Possessing a USMM Master 100 Ton on the Great Lakes and Inland Waters with a Near Coastal OUPV and Towing License #1507977.

In addition, we can help you with any boating information you may want for all aspects of recreational and commercial boating and would be happy to help you with any questions you might have regarding Lake Michigan, Green Bay and Big & Little Bay De Noc ports, weather, etc. at no charge to you.

RENT-A-CAPTAIN RATES

$375.00 per day.  Add an additional $100.00 per day for each crew member required. (Number of crew members required will be at captains discretion.)
Insurance Requirements:  Captain and crew (if necessary) must be added to owners’ policy for duration of charter.

Vessel Assist / Rescue Services / Salvage

Hurley Marine Vessel Assist can offer you something that no one else in the industry, committed and dedicated professionals who take an interest in you.  We focus entirely on the job at hand – ensuring that we get you home safely while meeting a high code of standards and professionalism.

Our vessels are equipped with multiple VHF radios, GPS chart plotters, radar, depth sounders, cell phones and other electronics to ensure that we can find you as quickly as possible.  We operate in Lake Michigan, Green Bay, Little & Big Bay de Noc, Port of Escanaba, Michigan.

Should you be in unfamiliar waters and have a question about sand bars, shoaling, weather conditions or restaurant/port recommendation, we are on standby ready to assist you. Just give us a hail.

VESSEL ASSIST / RESCUE / TOWING SERVICES

$300.00 for the first hour.  Additional hour(s) at $275.00 per hour.  Add an additional $100.00 (per day) for each crew member required.  (Number of crew members required will be at captains discretion.)

SALVAGE SERVICES

$375.00 for the first hour.  Additional hour(s) at $350.00 per hour. Add an additional $100.00 (per day) for each crew member required.  (Number of crew members required will be at captains discretion.)  Additional costs may accrue if extra equipment, vessels, etc. are needed as adopted by SALCON 89.  Includes but not limited to Hard/Soft Groundings, Perilous Circumstances, Loss of Property, etc.

 

Method of payment accepted: cash, check, and major credit cards may be used (paid in advance).  Prices may change without notice due to rising fuel costs.
