LED Underwater Lights

By |April 3rd, 2014|Categories: Product News|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |Comments Off on LED Underwater Lights

Choosing the Right LED Underwater Lights  . . . Boat Lights Every boat that has Hurley Marine LED underwater lights on it will stand out, that's a fact. But standing out is not enough. We want to set your boat light worlds apart from the rest, because that's what our technology is:  worlds apart. Choosing the right number of LED underwater lights and placement of lights is important.  Our vision of an optimal underwater boat lighting, or yacht lighting for that matter, is a shadow free, uniform, un-broken glow, with deep penetration.  Most "other" underwater lighting products create discrete, individual light sources, making your boat look like a string of Christmas lights.  This is not desirable.  We aim for an unobstructed, unbroken, uniform flood of light.  No discrete sources, no pinpoint lights. We want one, big, bright halo surrounding your boat. Our LED Sea-Vue Light series will do [...]

Tips for Maintaining Navigation Lights

By |March 27th, 2014|Categories: Tips & Techniques|Tags: , , , , , , , |Comments Off on Tips for Maintaining Navigation Lights

Lights:  Electrical contacts are the most vulnerable contacts on your boat. The connections inside your navigation lights live a ruff life!  Outside the light is always getting sprayed with sea water regularly, they eventually end up with badly corroded contacts at the light bulbs.  Gold plateed terminals are the answer. Gold is one of the most noble metals we know of and it resists corrosion naturally.  They are still finding gold artifacts at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea that are in really nice shape considering their exposure to sea water for centuries! So, when shopping for new nav light fixtures, and sooner or later you will be, make sure they have top quality terminals.  It's just one more way to raise the bar as well as the service life and maintenance intervals for your navigation lights. Tips for Maintaining Navigation Lights Clean the contacts of both the bulb and the [...]

Last Day of the Miami Boat Show

By |February 17th, 2014|Categories: Product News|Tags: , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , |0 Comments

Miami Boat Show Monday, the beginning of the last day of the Miami Boat Show, and the sun is out once again.  The 5 days of the show the weather has been very nice compared to the last two years. This year we have seen some of our old customers and friends and have made many new.  It's been amazing that a lot of the show goers even made it down here considering all the bad weather and airline cancellations. Our most popular products this year were our RGB Sea-Vue Lights and, of course, the H2O Dinghy Davit.  In fact, we have already sold most of our display models right off our displays.  What a great start to the 2014 boating season! It has been another good year in Miami for Hurley Marine and we are looking forward to our new domestic and international dealers and customers. Thank you!
